Why Pombrah began.
After playing in bands, Ryan studied music business to understand what happened between making music and earning from it. Publishing and rights administration were a missing part of that picture. Instead of waiting for another publisher, he built a way to release and manage his own work.
Founded in Phoenix in April 2018, Pombrah connected composition and production with the practical work behind a release: ownership records, registrations, artwork, masters, metadata and distribution.
A studio built around the whole project.
The work has grown from original releases into collaborative production, recording, vocal mixing, orchestral writing and visual presentation. A brief might begin with lyrics, a film scene, a melodic idea or an artist in the room listening as the arrangement develops.
Across the catalog, piano is a recurring voice. Orchestral instruments, electronic layers and guitar move around it, with each work given its own musical and visual identity.

Ryan creates the cover artwork as well as the music. That connection continues in the two music videos, Magical and Waiting for the Light, where original compositions determine the story, pacing and scene changes.
