Begin with a single idea.
Ryan often starts with a blank Cubase session and one instrument. A piano phrase, a repeating figure or a live performance gives the piece its first direction. From there, the arrangement grows through individually written MIDI parts and played melodies.
Piano remains a recurring lead voice, joined by orchestral instruments, electronic textures, guitars or rhythmic layers. The aim is a composition with movement and dynamic range: a piece that develops rather than simply adds more sound.
Build the arrangement together.
Client work has ranged from rap and R&B production to orchestral soundtracks, animation music, jingles, interludes and music developed from lyrics. Sessions have happened both remotely and with the artist sitting beside Ryan as the arrangement takes shape.
A reference, lyric, mood or scene can become the starting point. Drafts make the direction reviewable while there is still room to change the melody, instrumentation or structure.
Carry it through to delivery.
Recording, vocal integration, mixing and mastering are part of the same practice. Layered instruments are routed into groups so rhythmic impact, orchestral detail and the overall dynamics can be shaped together.
The delivery process has included high-quality WAV masters, MP3 review copies, artwork and the release metadata needed to keep the finished work identifiable. The scope is agreed around each project.
