Music, visual direction and edit — Ryan Douglas Michelsen
Waiting for the Light pairs a personal composition about becoming a father with nature scenes and changes in light. Its atmosphere follows the anticipation in the piano and orchestral writing.
The edit was shaped phrase by phrase in Premiere Pro. Clip speeds, repeated shots and transitions were adjusted to hold through the music, allowing each landscape to move with the arrangement.
